A Deer

A deer, trapped in a human body, doing things she felt that she shouldn’t be doing. her feet is trapped, prevent her from running free in the savana, chasing her dream.

How happy she is, for the dream and hope will wake her up everyday, give her power to work towards her wild dream and hope.  Eventhough trapped, she fills her mind with ideas, ideas that sometime she will make it true.

What does it means to be human, without dream and hope? Without any hope, we will just like a robots, doing the same things programmed to us daily, without knowing the purpose of doing it, or when it will end. WIthout dream, we just like animals, using our instinct to survive.

I pray for the deer, may she have the pure heart, to follow her dream, not giving up hope, and to make a new dream everyday.

You’re Siddhartha!

You’re Siddhartha!
by Hermann Hesse
You simply don’t know what to believe, but you’re willing to try anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you’ve spent some time in every camp. But you still don’t have any idea what camp you belong in. This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely. It’s time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in ferries.
Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.

Mask

Inspired by my friend, Flo, who wrote about mask. Mask can be used to hide our real face, when we need, either voluntarily or forced, to show the other face. It could be the face that people want to see, the happy face, calm face, even in stormy situation.

After some time, did anyone care about our real face? The face that shows our real expression, which could be different from our mask? Or maybe we ourself has forgotten our real face, hiding behind our mask.

Take a break, put the mask off, let your face be seen, and live the life…..

The End of Holiday

Gosh…. time flies. last time I wrote about upcoming holiday, and here I am now, writing about how sad I am that holiday has gone by. For me, it is officially over with Christmas celebration at the office last Friday, and my closing trip to bandung last weekend.

I have a good holiday, though. Eleven days out of Jakarta, no laptop, almost no TV, for some day with no cell phone due to network problem. I found a nice travelmate, and we went to places we’ve never been before, do things we’ve never done before. I got a new perspective in life, from a trip which have some spiritual part in it.

Perhaps my boss is right, the things that make us eager to wake up and go to work every morning is the will to plan and do our next holiday. Twelve months to go, boy…….
